Florida man fatally shot his fiancée at point-blank range in argument over his cheating

According to police, 46-year-old Royce Teets shot his fiancée with an assault rifle after she accused him of cheating.

Terri Lynn Coolidge was shot in the chest with an AK-47 after she got involved in a verbal fight with Teets on cheating.

It is shown by the arrests report that on Tuesday, he confessed to the crime after lying to the police. He was charged with premeditated murder.

The report stated that Teets told the cops that he and Coolidge had an argument earlier in the day over him texting other women before he got out of his house to consume alcohol with friends. However, he “changed his story several times about the locations and who he was with.”

He told the police that Coolidge was addicted to alcohol and that her last boyfriend cheated on her, but that he was sincere with her.

When the police approached the incident scene, they saw Coolidge on the ground with a bullet wound to her chest and a exit wound in her back.

Initially, Teets said he had been cleaning a shotgun that accidentally went off due to which Coolidge died, but changed the story 3 more times during questioning by the cops before admitting to the murder.

His fake stories included Coolidge trying to kill him and Teets took one of 2 AK-47s from a closet to stop her from killing him.

He told that Coolidge didn’t try to kill or harm him after he admitted about the murder. He was “on a scale of 1-10 as mad as you can be.” He said he was angry that Coolidge was hitting him and breaking things. He also said that he was only trying to scare her.

Coolidge was a mother of 2 and knew everything about Teets’ criminal history, which included home invasion, domestic violence and stalking. There was no one at home except Coolidge and Teets when the shooting happened.
