Florida man arrested for DUI after rear-ending patrol car

Pinellas Park, Florida – A Pinellas County deputy is not injured as his patrol car was struck while sitting at a red light at 49th Street and Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park. A prisoner in the back of the cruiser sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital but was back in prison Monday morning.

58-year-old Ricky Fullmer caused the accident and he is also in prison.

He was driving under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended Nicholas Mandakunis’ cruiser, according to the deputies. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence and property damage. He was transferred to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The case is under investigation.
