20-Year-Old Bradenton Woman Hits A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper’s Vehicle

BRADENTON – According to FHP, a 20-year-old Bradenton woman struck a Florida Highway Patrol trooper’s vehicle on Friday night.

The incident occurred at about 9:33 p.m. on Friday. The marked trooper vehicle was travelling west on Cortez Road and had stopped in the inside lane at the red light at 26th Street West, according to a news release.

The woman was going west in a 2014 Ford Explorer and was pulling up behind the troopers vehicle, but didn’t succeed to stop in time, rear-ending the trooper, which was also stated in the report.

The driver was charged for careless driving.
